1. Who we are
Blue Meridian Technologies Ltd ("Blue Meridian", "we", "us") operates bluemeridian.ai, a private charter and curation service. We are a company registered in England & Wales, company number 17272049.
For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in this policy at concierge@bluemeridian.ai.
2. The information we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address and phone number, when you submit an enquiry or contact us.
- Your charter brief — the details you give us about the trip you have in mind, such as destination or route, dates, number of guests or passengers, vessel or aircraft preferences and budget guide.
- Correspondence — messages you exchange with us by email, WhatsApp, Telegram or live chat.
- Technical information — limited information collected automatically when you use the site, such as your IP address and browser type, recorded in standard server logs for security and reliability.
3. How we use your information
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry, preparing a shortlist and arranging your charter with operators, owners and partners | Steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract; our legitimate interest in operating a charter brokerage |
| Interpreting your written brief using AI so we can match it to suitable yachts or aircraft (see section 4) | Our legitimate interest in providing an effective search and concierge service |
| Keeping records of enquiries and clients in our CRM | Our legitimate interest in running our business; legal obligations |
| Sending you marketing about our services, where you have agreed to it | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Site security, fraud prevention and service reliability | Our legitimate interests |
4. AI-assisted search
When you type a charter brief into our search, the text of your brief is processed by an AI service (provided by Anthropic) to interpret your request — for example, identifying the destination, dates and party size — so that we can show you relevant options. We suggest you do not include sensitive personal information in your brief, as it is not needed to search. Your brief is not used by us to make any decision producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only as needed to provide our service:
- Charter operators, owners, central agents and broker partners — so they can confirm availability and, where you choose to proceed, contract with you for the charter or flight.
- Service providers (processors) — companies that process data on our behalf under contract, currently including HubSpot (client relationship management and communications), Anthropic (AI interpretation of search briefs) and DigitalOcean (hosting, located in London, UK).
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers, including HubSpot and Anthropic, process data in the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised by UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and client records for as long as needed to manage our relationship with you and to meet legal, accounting and insurance obligations, and then delete or anonymise them. Records connected to a concluded charter are typically retained for up to six years after the end of the relationship, reflecting limitation periods in England & Wales. Enquiries that do not proceed are kept for a shorter period before deletion.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal information;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to our processing, including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
- data portability in certain circumstances; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on.
To exercise any of these rights, email concierge@bluemeridian.ai. You also have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk — though we would welcome the chance to address your concern first.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Our site uses what is strictly necessary to function, such as remembering your cookie preference itself. With your consent, we also store a small preference setting that remembers your chosen language between visits ("bm_lang", stored in your browser); if you choose "Essential only", your language choice lasts for the current visit only and any stored choice is removed. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies without your consent.
With your consent, we may in future use analytics and marketing technologies (such as Meta Pixel, Google tags and HubSpot analytics) to understand how the site is used and to show you relevant content elsewhere. If you accept these, you can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of our homepage, which lets you withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
